Live Updates:

  • Provided tonight by Andrew Onodera

7:07 – Minutes before faceoff, attendance looks pretty good. I’d estimate roughly 13,000.

7:09 – Swarm control the opening face, but they turn it over quickly.

7:22pm – Miles Thompson scores our first goal of the game a full 9 minutes into the first period. Georgia up 1-0.

7:30pm – We have our first penalty of the night: Shane Jackson (GEO) gets called for a crosscheck. He’ll be in for two minutes…..and immediately after, a player from each team gets thrown in for dead ball contact. 4-on-3 lacrosse coming up.

Georgia leads Colorado 2-0 at the end of a low-scoring opening period.

7:36pm – Noble gets Colorado on the board one minute into the second period…but it’s under review.

UPDATE: Goal does not count. Shooter was in the crease.

7:44pm – NOW the Mammoth are on the board! Jordan Gilles ends the Mammoth scoring drought with a big goal 5 minutes into the 2nd period.

8:02pm – Ryan Benesch scores for Colorado, but the goal is under review. To make matters worse, Benesch is down injured on the turf.

UPDATE: Goal will not count.

8:05pm – This is a scary sight. Stretcher is out for Ryan Benesch.

8:11pm – END OF QUARTER 2

Mammoth trail Georgia 4-3 at halftime.

8:46pm – Ryan Benesch is officially OUT for the rest of the game. He is up and walking around, however.

The Mammoth and Swarm are tied at 6-6.

9:12pm – Kyle Killen nets his first goal of the game and the Mammoth now have their biggest lead of the night with the score resting at 8-6.

9:25pm – That’ll just about do it. Joey Cupido scored an empty netter to give Colorado a three-goal lead with just over 60 seconds left.

Colorado defeats Georgia by a score of 10-8. This is Colorado’s second win in a row, their longest streak this season. The Mammoth will be back in action next Friday when they take on the Saskatchewan Rush in Saskatchewan.
