The Colorado Mammoth are set to host eight home games this season (down from the original 9 due to the NLL and PLPA’s CBA disagreement) and every home game will have a different theme. This year’s themes are a mix of old fan favorites and new additions to the Mammoth front office theme arsenal. Here are all 8 themes for the 2018-2019 Season:
December 22nd – Teddy Bear Toss
The Mammoth will look to build off of last year’s successful Teddy Bear Toss and collect more bears for children in need. This game will also function as the makeshift home opener following the cancellation of the first two weeks of the Mammoth season, including the original home opener on December 1st. The Mammoth will host one of the new expansion teams, the San Diego Seals, on this exciting night in late December.
January 12th – 80’s Night
The Mammoth are partnering with KOOL 105 to bring 80’s night to the Pepsi Center this January when the Toronto Rock come to town.
January 20th – Kids’ Day Out
The kids will steal the show once again for a night this year as it will be the Mammoth’s youngest fans providing the entertainment throughout the night while Colorado takes on Calgary.
February 16th – Indoor Beach Party
Somehow the Mammoth plan on hosting a beach party with flip flops and t-shirts on a night in the middle of February, but hey, if they can make it work then so be it! It will be a fun night as the Mammoth play host to the Georgia Swarm.
March 9th – Colorado Night
The Mammoth will suit up in their fan-favorite Colorado Jerseys as we honor the beautiful state we call home while playing San Diego for the second time this season.
March 23rd – Military Appreciation Night
Colorado will take on the Vancouver Warriors (the Vancouver Stealth rebranded, because why not?) while donning their camouflage jerseys in support of our military.
April 6th – Lacrosse Out Cancer
For the 10th time in franchise history, the Colorado Mammoth will join the fight cancer on Lacrosse Out Cancer night. The players will wear jerseys customized in support of a cancer patient. On top of the amazing initiative, the Mammoth will take on Saskatchewan in one of the biggest games of the season.
April 12th – Fan Appreciation Night
The Mammoth will play their final regular season home game in mid-April while facing off against the Rochester Knighthawks. Before, during, and after the game, Colorado will take time to honor the fans that make the Pepsi Center the “Loudest House in Lacrosse.”
* All of these theme nights, as well as the dates, are subject to change. The Mammoth season as a whole is still contingent on the NLL and the PLPA agreeing to a new collective bargaining agreement.
