Editor’s Note: At the bottom of every post, we will reveal our new Top-10 Media Poll.

Headlines:

This week got crazy in both 4A and 5A lacrosse. Here’s a look at the top headlines:

Mountain Vista falls to Arapahoe

After last year’s semifinal loss to the Warriors, everyone expected Mountain Vista to handle Arapahoe this year. In a sense, this year was supposed to be Vista’s “Revenge Tour.” However, the Eagles fell just short of getting revenge for last year’s loss as the game finished 15-14 in favor of Arapahoe.

Regis Jesuit Pulls Away From Cherry Creek

In our last poll, Regis Jesuit checked in at #3. The Raiders are always a good team, but this year it was hard to get a good read on just how good they truly are. However, with this week’s 14-11 win over the previously-ranked No. 2 Cherry Creek Bruins, Regis has shown that it’s a team ready to defend its state championship.

Dawson Gets it Done

On Wednesday night, the Dawson School Mustangs made it clear that they have not forgotten what it felt like to lose the state championship last spring. The Mustangs avenged last season’s loss by winning this year’s contest 11-10.

Other Scores:

Highlands Ranch 18-4 Fairview

Windsor 7-10 Cheyenne Mountain

Mullen 7-15 Kent Denver

Thompson Valley 8-5 Aspen

The Colorado Lacrosse Report Media Poll is made up of voters (7 in 5A, 6 in 4A) from the lacrosse media community. The rankings are determined by a standard points system that accompanies the votes. A first place vote earns a team 10 points, a second place vote earns a team 9 points, and so on.
